Do what makes you happy

I’m super happy that Autumn is here, I can wear big baggy jumpers, go on muddy walks and drink lots of hot chocolate. I love to see the seasons change and Autumn is my favourite!

This month sees another busy, but very inspiring month, it is the start of the Young Enterprise Company Programme Competition. I have the pleasure of working with 25 fantastic schools, each have a team of students that are going to run a business. It’s the best job in the world! I’m hoping they will get Derbyshire to the UK Finals in London. No pressure! The student’s motivation and ideas really inspire me and give me hope that Derbyshire is producing some fab budding entrepreneurs.

I attended an event at The County Music Bar called Musicians Against Homelessness – Chesterfield Rocks! I can safely say I had the time of my life. The music was amazing, beer was flowing, and I got to talk to lots of people about who they were supporting that evening. It was fantastic! They raised over £1,000 and lots of awareness for the charity.

I also had the pleasure of being invited to the Acorn Roots gig at St Leonards Church, Spital. They were fantastic and the hospitality was superb as always! If you haven't attended a Spital Arts event yet you need to add this to your list of to do's, they are always put together so well and they really make you feel so welcome. The venue is also very beautiful and the acoustics are amazing!

I’ve enjoyed helping Eva to learn her lines for a production she will be in very soon, she has performed before but only ever for singing so learning lines has been great fun. I’m hoping this will be the start of her amazing acting career! Thanks Jessica Widdowson!

I’m super happy that Autumn is here, I can wear big baggy jumpers, go on muddy walks and drink lots of hot chocolate. I love to see the seasons change and Autumn is my favourite! So, light those Yankee Candles (warm cashmere is my current scent) get the marshmallows in your hot choc and get your dressing gown on by 5pm (earlier if you can).

This month I’m going to do things that are good for my soul and make me happy, that means more time in the countryside with my family.

You may notice a lack of Simons blog this edition, we've had a busy month and unfortunately couldn't squeeze him in! He'll be back soon!

Peace, love and positivity

Bekah
