Write the life story you want - Jones &Co.

Most of us have an idea of how we’d like our life to go and where we’d like to be in the future. The question is: will you always have the money you need to live the life you’d like?

As soon as you begin your working career, you start to accumulate wealth. So, if you want to write a good life story, it’s imperative that you protect your wealth as soon as you can.

It is possible to write the life story you want, and it starts with something called ‘wealth planning’. Here at Jones & Co, we work with people of all ages and backgrounds to protect and enhance their wealth. It’s all about enhancing your current financial situation and that begins by knowing what your short, medium and long-term goals are. What are your specific aspirations? Where are you going, and what does it take to get there, financially speaking?

Once we understand your personal circumstances and agree your goals, we ask clients to complete a risk profile questionnaire and we then look at what you’re currently saving and/or investing every month. We also take into account any employer’s pension you may have and ascertain if it’s actually working for you. We always look at the whole picture, this is so important.

With all this information to hand, we will advise and create a bespoke wealth planning strategy that could encompass a wide variety of financial products and services from a private pension and investment plan, to income protection and life insurance. No two wealth planning strategies are the same because we’re all different.

Our objective is to grow your assets so that you are able to provide for your own future and that of future generations if you have children and family. If you’re in your 20s, you might just be stepping on the career ladder and hoping your income will rise over the years. You may be in your 30s and wanting to start a family, buy your own home or both.

Or perhaps you’re in your 40s or 50s and your children are heading to university and you’d like to pay off your mortgage and retire soon. Either way, as every week goes by, you’re accumulating wealth, and you may even inherit money one day. There will always come a point, however, when you stop work and move into retirement.

You’ll then need to use your accumulated wealth to support you for the rest of your life and, hopefully, have a lump sum to ultimately pass on to your loved ones.

Irrespective of your age or personal circumstances, it’s our job to ensure that your wealth works as hard as it can, it is protected and preserved. With professional advice, all of this and more can be achieved. Please don’t think you can’t afford to work with an independent financial advisor either. You can and it could be the best money you will ever spend. After all, writing the life story you want is priceless.
