The Virtual Show Must Go On

The Rotary Club of Chesterfield have been holding a regular classic car and bike show at Eckington Hall, Derbyshire for 15 years!

This year things are a little different. The hall is closed due to the spread of Coronavirus but the charities that benefit from the money raised are in desperate need of funds. So, the group have taken the decision to hold the show online.

Paul Davies from the Satellite Rotary Club said “it’s never been more important that we support our local charities, so we’re asking classic car and bike owners to get involved and for people to follow what we do and vote for their favourites. We’re asking for donations to enter and if people would like to support us when voting they can also donate.”

With your support charities, Ashgate Hospice, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Elm Foundation and Weston Park Cancer Charity will benefit.

Owners of classic cars or bikes are asked to take a photo or video, place it on Instagram and add the relevant hashtag as below. There is also a fun category for children to post up their car or bike pictures, or even for the grown ups to add something fun!

People can get their cars up on display immediately and the final judging will take place on Sunday 10 June, a winners chosen by a panel of judges from Rotary based on likes and their final decision.

The places to see are:

G tags to use are: Generic #eckingtonCCB Cars #ECSCar2020 Bikes #ECSBike2020 Fun Stuff #ECSfun2020
