Twists & Curls at KINK Salon

London stylist Mary Pidcock has recently taken over the Silver Scissors Salon on Old Road, refreshing the premises and offering something new, whilst maintaining the same quality personal service for clients both old and new.

I love the personal side of hairdressing and working with a team of old and new staff to Old Road, I’m looking forward to greeting people at the KINK Salon.”

Mary trained at Vidal Sassoon in London and has a wealth of experience working in a number of quality salons for 25 years, more recently in Cheshire where she has spent the last ten years.

Originally from Sheffield she was made aware that the business was for sale, jumped at the opportunity to move closer to home and took over the reins in March this year.

“I love a challenge and the time was right for running my own salon,” says Mary. “I love the personal side of hairdressing and working with a team of old and new staff to Old Road, I’m looking forward to greeting people at the KINK Salon.”

Mary is joined by Gina Johnson, daughter of the founder of Silver Scissors, with 15 years’ experience and a well-known stylist to customers.

Anthony Hawkins, a ladies and gents stylist, who has worked in town centre salons and comes with 14 years’ experience.

All the team are supported by a number of younger up-and-coming stylists including Bailey Wright, previously from Chesterfield town centre salons.

“We have been well supported by the previous customers of Silver Scissors and we offer treatments at reasonable, affordable prices,”

As Christmas approaches, we all want to look our best and KINK would love you to call in and let them take care of you. They cater for all ages, male and female, and if you’re after a little incentive to book a consultation, they’re offering a half price Olaplex conditioning treatment for any booking made in December.

“We have been well supported by the previous customers of Silver Scissors and we offer treatments at reasonable, affordable prices,” says Mary. “We’re taking bookings for Christmas and are confident you’ll be very pleased with our service, we offer town centre quality but with a little local knowledge, plus you can park a few short steps away from the salon.

“We look forward to offering you a warm welcome.”
