You may or may not be aware of ChatGPT, but you need to be aware of it! I think it all feels a bit scary!

Chat GPT is an Artificial Intelligent chatbot auto-generative system created by Open AI primarily for online customer care. It makes use of (NLP) Natural Language Processing and uses textbooks, websites, and various articles as its source, which it uses to model its own language for responding to human interaction.

But why would I use it I hear you ask? Well you can use it for all sorts, many already are I'm sure. Stuck writing that essay for school? Lacking inspiration for that letter of thanks? Unable to sort that line of code out? Pop your requirements into ChatGPT and it'll have an answer for you in seconds.

I gave it a try and popped in two subjects that are close to my heart!

My view, am I worried, no. At my level and the way I work it's about personality and local knowledge, ChatGPT won't get its wife saying 'what's going on there? can you find out, is it worth an article?', this is the way we approach a lot of the stuff we do at S40 Local.

It is interesting though, reading through the response to why I should shop with independent businesses it does feel a bit like I'm reading the response and benefits listed by TotallyLocally, but then ChatGPT is trawling the web for input to help build its knowledge and responses so it's going to feel like it's dragged in facts I may already have read elsewhere.

After reading the two responses it made me tap in a third... 200 words about the best of Chesterfield.

Uhm not bad, it doesn't mention checking to see if the Spire is open, that the market is only on certain days or whether it's Chatsworth Show Weekend and the traffic will be mad... that's local knowledge!
