Who doesn’t need some time-out, to de-stress, to reconnect with themselves, with friends or loved ones, to escape the lifes hustle and boost the mind?
4 Elements Spa and Beauty, opened in 2018 and offers jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a comfortable relaxation lounge together with a fantastic range of ELEMIS beauty treatments and non-invasive facials.
In addition to the treatment rooms and spa there is also a party room which can be booked to celebrate a birthday, hen party, baby shower, children’s party or just an excuse to get some friends together. The space is ideal for 12 to 16 people, comes with a Karaoke machine and you can bring your own food or 4 Elements will order it in for you.
Established by husband and wife team Martin and Amanda Coates, 4 Elements is based in a fully refurbished and redesigned property in the centre of Bolsover, with parking right outside.
Manageress Katie runs the Spa, “I’ve worked here since it opened, I have an ELEMIS Therapist background with 10 years’ experience and have recently taken on the role of manager” she beams.
You can book for just £15 per person where you can enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and lounge, lockers, changing facilities and hot/cold showers. They welcome their guests with a complimentary drink, robe and towels. All you need is your swimsuit and flip flops!
“Beauty treatments include Elemis Biotec facials, Elemis face and body treatments, along with their exotic scrubs, wraps and pregnancy massage. Lycon precision waxing allows intimate waxing, a gentle but effective hair removal, kind on the skin and perfect for sensitive clients” says Katie.
“We are all highly trained in customer service and all aspects of body, face, eyes, exotics, nails, tanning and waxing. We like to keep up to date on the latest trends in our industry by attending training courses, beauty shows and education classes throughout the year."
“We use luxury Jessica nails, for manicures, pedicures and gel polishing, along with St Tropez tanning. The range includes men’s treatments and some for children too. We also have a cosy, low lit, twin treatment room for couples, or mother and daughter sessions during the school holidays.”

“It’s our goal to exceed expectations. A client often apologises if they dose off or snore a little, I always think that if you fall asleep during one of our treatments, then we've done our job well!”
“Phoebe is our nail technician, a young, keen therapist” says Katie. “She is the newest member of the team, so we sent her off to Elemis Biotec training school to grow her skills.
“I travelled over to Birmingham to complete my training” Pheobe says. “It was overwhelming at first and I had a lot to learn, but I’ve gained much more confidence and enjoy putting all the training into practice.”
Hannah, Martin and Amanda’s daughter, works at the Spa on Saturdays. She is ELEMIS trained and is currently thriving at college studying NVQ level 2 beauty therapy and plans to add level 3. “Working in a salon and spa environment helps me stay one step ahead of my classmates” explained Hannah. “I am the face of the house on a Saturday and my role is to make sure everyone feels welcome and is looked after... oh and I make a good cup of tea.”
Leanne has recently joined with five years beauty experience, some of which she spent at Eden Hall.
Katie finished by saying “Come and experience a family atmosphere where you come as guests and leave as friends.”
