Each year Holymoorside (and this year Walton as well) residents put up with squatters at the end of their gardens and drives ... these squatters, made of straw, are a tradition that dates back to ... well I can't seem to find anything? Can anyone update us?
Kate Challinor-Moss is encouraging Holymoorside and Walton residents to get creative and put on a display for the annual scarecrow festival.
This year's theme is 'All Things Disney', so look out for the short-term visitors over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
And whilst you're out visit the Well to see it dressed, picture above shows an exhibit that was created by the Holmoorside team for the recent Chatsworth RHS show.
