The MaddiFin Cup Match

Words from Neil Hutchinson

"We are a bunch of ageing and retired Chesterfield Sunday league footballers that come together every year to play a football match, to raise money for two charities, Bloodwise and CLIC Sargent.

"The game is called The MaddiFinn Cup, after two amazing children, brother and sister Finlay and Maddison Share. Both have had a tough start to life, but with the help and support of these two charities they have managed to battle through and show great courage and strength to now live a normal, mischievous life.

"We wanted to say thank you to these charities, and at the same time show our support for Finlay and Maddison.

"For the last three years, we have played a fund-raising match and raised over £1000 every year. This year, we'd like to raise more, and would love to see more people come down to support us."

Sunday 12 of May will see the teams play at the Staveley MWFC Ground, Inkersall Road with a 12pm kick off.
