Opened in 2013, over the last eight years Strada Estates have worked hard to establish themselves as one of North Derbyshire’s go-to Estate Agents, selling 100’s of properties and creating a few local jobs along the way.
Now, in 2020 with Jamie Roden and Sharon Macaulay at the helm, they are well equipped to take on this new world that we find ourselves in and have adapted the business perfectly.
Jamie and Sharon are the proud new business partners behind Strada Estates, but they are certainly no strangers to the business, or the property game, with over 30 year’s combined experience! Sharon enjoys leading on client liaison and progressing sales, whilst Jamie’s skillset is valuations and viewings. They compliment each other perfectly.
Sharon has been part of team Strada since day one. With over 24 years of experience in the property game, her knowledge is impressive.
Originating from Loch Lomond, Scotland, Sharon and her daughter Robyn moved to Chesterfield ten years ago when her partner Robert was serving in the armed forces and they all fell in love with Chesterfield and decided to relocate on a permanent basis.
We caught up with Sharon to find out what she had to say about the state of the current property market and what she loves about her job.
"I class myself as a very lucky person, there aren’t many people who can honestly say that they love their job, but I am one of those people. After 24 years of being in the industry I can tell you our days are never dull, as with every industry, at the moment, we are learning how to adapt to the current situation we all find ourselves in. We are witnessing a strong marketplace with many sales agreed and completed, our main goal is to help our clients move on to their new home with as little stress as possible. I am privileged to have met and worked with many lovely clients, many of who I now class as friends and I am sure there will be many more to come," says Sharon.
Jamie is a local, family man and lives in Highfield with his wife Hannah. They are expecting their first child in January, a little girl named Strada (ok, so we guessed at the name). Jamie is leading the charge on marketing at the ‘new Strada’ and has big plans for the future of the company. Jamie is very proud of their five star Google reviews and his face lit up when he told us that Strada has been nominated in the Chesterfield High Street Awards.
We asked him why he got into the Estates industry and what he enjoys about his work, he had this to say:
“From interiors and construction to architecture, I have always been interested in all things property. Having worked in the industry for several years I can honestly say it is a passion of mine and couldn’t ever imagine doing anything else. I love meeting new people and seeing what they have done with their home or giving some help and advice on where and how they can add value.
"The best part of my job is calling our clients to say we have sold your house and working with them to find their next home!" says jamie.
Strada Estates have hit 2020 with a bang, with their cutting-edge 3D house tours. This technology allows potential buyers to view the house online and take a virtual tour of the property. This enables the viewer to get a real feel for the home before they have even stepped foot in it, very cool!
We have no doubt that under the progressive leadership of Jamie and Sharon they will continue to grow bringing many years of happiness to their clients and the residents of Derbyshire.
