Two members of Brampton & Walton Townswomen Celebrate 50 and 60 years of service to the guild
Audrey Wigfield and Thelma Key have both celebrated 60 and 50 years respectively as members of the Brampton & Walton Townswomen Guild.
Audrey (left) and Thelma (right) were presented with flowers and certificates recently at their meeting at St Thomas' Centre.
Audrey, from Brookside, joined the Chesterfield evening group in 1959, and Thelma, from Ashgate, joined in 1969 after moving to the area.
Both enjoy the sense of community the group brings, the activities and keep their Wednesdays free to ensure they can attend whatever the guild arrange each week. The guild is a continued success with a waiting list for new members who are keen to get involved ... and to drink tea and eat cake!
