Brookfield Community School Parents and Friends Association held their very first ‘Promfest’ on Thursday 7th February.
Wanting to look their best, students and parents from schools across Chesterfield were invited along to an evening that showcased everything they'd need for their much anticipated Prom nights.
Local businesses were keen to get involved and kindly dedicated their time and expertise to help students with their decisions.
Blanc Occasions, Ingmans gents wear and M&S Chesterfield offered an extensive array of dresses, suits, shirts, ties, dickie bows, shoes, handbags and underwear.
Spencer’s Barbers and The Look were on board and created some wonderful hairstyles for our models to take part on the catwalk.
The Therapy Lounge and Embellish kindly offered their services and the girls make up was stunning. Tammy Marsh of Nail Candy impressed us with her natural looking spray tan techniques and also showed her bio sculpt nails. Gossip Beauty offered nail technicians for the Y11 and Y13’s attending the Proms for classes of 2019.
The Love Bus in the Peak and Regency Cars showed their wonderful, high-class rides for hire to escort them to the Prom.
The room was decorated to give a real fashion show feel by Talking Balloons.
Over a hundred people attended on the the night, which focused around a catwalk show, brilliantly compared by Ann Marie of Blanc Occasions. Some of the pupils were brave enough to volunteer as models, alongside the pros from the businesses involved.
Ann Marie said: "I'm really pleased to be involved in the event supporting local businesses and providing a helping hand to pupils".
Brookfield Parents and Friends Association hope they've helped pupils make their Prom a night to remember. They would also like to thank all the businesses who worked so hard to make the night such a success.
