Share the light - Paperstarlights

In the last year we've witnessed the way that adversity can bring out the best in some people.

Andy Jupp and Jules Cooper, the team at Paperstarlights, are working hard to 'Share the Light' this Christmas, with more than a little help from their colleague and friend Paul Hoskin.

Over the next few weeks the team will be out and about helping as many businesses as they can to create bespoke displays of light in their windows.

As I type the windows along Chatsworth Road are already starting to shine with stars and it won't be long before the windows at our own home will be shining with stars, too.

Andy says, "with all of our Christmas markets and events cancelled this year, we’re struggling like so many independent businesses. So we’re working closer to home, and have put aside a number of display units for local businesses, to loan free of charge this Christmas. All we ask is that you make a donation to Ashgate Hospicecare, to help share the light with them too."

Please look out for the stars, why not take a walk after sunset to see how many starsyou can spot. Businesses right across the town will be taking part. The stars come in over 100 designs and different sizes – see how many you can find.

Be sure to take photographs and #sharethelight via social media and if you're in town check out page 23 and also be on the look out for Advent Town displays so you can enter our easy giveaway.

I'm looking forward to a lovely themed trail and displays across town, something that will put Chesterfield on the map and help create a little festive cheer as Santa gets his sleigh ready for 25th.

To the right you can see our Paperstarlight tree from last year.

Huge thanks from us all at S40 Local to Andy, Jules and Paul for Sharing the Light. Andy can be contacted on 07803 164394.
